My Story

I was introduced to Pilates in 2007 after suffering a hip and lower back injury, resulting from an incident while horseback riding. After trying many conventional treatments for my injuries, it was Pilates that strengthened my weak muscles, aligned my body, and rebalanced my muscles. I found the mind/body method challenging and intriguing. How could such small movements make such a big difference in my body?

I wanted to know more about the Pilates method so I could continue to heal my body.  In 2011, I completed my 500-hour Comprehensive Equipment Training certificate from Personal Best Pilates Instructor Academy through Julie Long and worked at Wichita Pilates Group under her tutelage. 


My Purpose

The next chapter of my life has unfolded and I have taken the opportunity to start a new Pilates studio concept. I want to share not only the benefits of Pilates but also create an atmosphere of wellness and vitality, an avenue for people to get into their PRIME of their life. Over the last 9 years, I have suddenly lost my father and brother. I have sustained multiple injuries that have put me on the sidelines of life.  I have learned how precious life is and how much you need to get out there and enjoy it. To really enjoy life you need to feel well, be able to move without pain, and have the energy to do not only daily life tasks but also to have the energy to do what you love. Thus the concept of into PRIME, "a state of greatest vigor," was born. I didn't want to sit on the sidelines of life, I wanted to live life again in the active state that I strived. I wanted to travel, hike, kayak, ride, see, and taste the world. Pilates is where I began my journey back into life, into my PRIME. My journey has continued down many trails since 2007.  I have taken up the practice of yoga and embraced the mind, body, spirit philosophy that it teaches.  I discovered the importance of regular body work, clean eating, life balance, and the ability to stop and breathe.  Through my life experiences, I realized that I wanted to help people get into PRIME of their life, to be able to do what they love. Life is a so precious and short. Isn't it time to be in the PRIME of your life?
